What is Travel health Insurance &
who needs it?
*Anyone traveling abroad. Even if your current health insurance carrier will reimburse you after incurring medical expenses overseas, you will have to pay the provider up front before receiving the medical attention you need; sometimes even in an emergency situation, depending on the region or country you're visiting.
*Students studying abroad for a Summer or semester. This is so important. Most students and their families assume that a school sponsored study abroad program includes health coverage, however many study abroad programs are only loosely affiliated with the university, and your child may not be covered by the University if they should need healthcare services while abroad.
*Professionals who travel regularly. If your business takes you overseas, even once a year, it's important to protect yourself. Even if you're a healthcare professional, you may need a service your group isn't able to provide for you.
